On my custom report "Plotter," the colum "Contact Customer Type" appears. Is there any way to remove this? It is interfering.

I am sure you are noticing the same thing I am...when you go to edit this report it isn't even there to remove! Must be a bug...I am putting in a ticket to fix and will let you know as soon as it is!
