I want to be able to charge 3% when customers use credit card. I do not use online payments and was wondering if you could create a field similar to the taxes field on the event form, whereby we can select the service fee based on the total amount?

Service fee based on total amount wouldn't really work because it would add to the whole amount, not necessarily just the amount they paid (if they pay a deposit, not the full balance). So a solution to your problem would need to be more than just a box that does percentages. However, we do have some features that allow you to do some math for you:
Let's say the customer is going to pay you $100. You can type "100*.03" into the "Fees" line of the event tab, and when you click out of it, it will come up with a $3 fee to add to the balance of the lead.
We are considering more "Point of sale" style tools for you to use in the office, but they would require you to still integrate your merchant account in with our software. Is there a reason you aren't allowing the customers to make payments themselves?
