Contracts still available to be signed after deleting

I'm testing using lead 1636070 because we're finding our contracts, even after being deleted, are still available for customer's to sign. So, if they open the wrong email, they may sign an outdated contract....potential for mayhem. If you look on that order you will see 3 signed contracts. I had deleted the two earlier contracts. Later I went through the emailed link and I could still sign them (and multiple times it seems on #2 test) and bring them back onto the lead.

My understanding is if a contract is deleted (under contract tab), the email link will no longer work, yes? And will a new contract will block the older ones from showing up? You can see my testing notes on the latest contract...though they may not make sense.

Good catch. We've released a fix for this.

Now, if you are using Auto Generated contracts, you must reduce the status of the lead to prevent the customer from signing once they have the link.

Everyone has the "auto-generate" contract feature by default, but you may not be using it. If you move a lead into a contracted status before generating a snapshot of the contract it will have "auto generate" active.

We cannot make it so that non-active contracts are not able to be signed as our other customers rely on this feature too much to send contracts to vendors. The lead would need to be in a status where it is not "contracted" at all, which wouldn't allow any contracts on that lead to be signed.

I can see the use of not deleting a contract, but also not letting the customer sign it anymore. We'll talk about potentially developing something for this.
