Contract template

I added a new template today called customer survey coupon and activated it and tested all good.
Now when i send a contract to a customer they get the coupon instead of the contract email
I have since deactivated the survey coupon and the contract template still doesn't send.
Can you look into this because at this point we can't send contracts.
