Can we get a feature to automatically chnge lead status to contracted when a contract is created?
Our next release will improve some of this. For one, you should not be adding contracts to a lead unless you need to manually edit a contract. This is an extra step that causes more headaches later because once you add a contract to a lead, it becomes static and no longer updates when you change things on the lead.
Simply move the status, save the lead, and then you can send your contract. If you need to not use your default contract template, just go to the contract section and choose the template you want. Do not add it to the lead. Just save, change the status, and email the contract.
