CC Refund Not Working

We have CIM enabled in auth.net and can successfully re-charge cards on the contract tab of the lead; however, we did a test transaction for $2.00 and then went to refund it an hour later by adding a new payment on the contract tab in the amount of -2.00 (type set to re-charge card) and we got an error within IO telling us to verify CIM is enabled.


We don't take refundable deposits but occasionally for unforeseen circumstances need to refund money. Is there a better way to do this?

Adding the negative payment in IO is a good way to record that you've given a refund, but we don't currently have refunding programed into our software to process automatically. You do currently have to process the refund manually via authorize.net.
