Cancelled Lead button - Reason Code

Can a radio button(?) be added to the Cancelled button in the Leads form to track the reason for cancellations? If that does sound like an idea that can work, can it also be a combination of pre-populated reasons and customer defined reasons?

We have a feature in our CRM module that allows a user to create timestamped "journal" entries to manually note changes to a lead. This feature would likely be an addition to that Module and expand the journal entries features.

OK. So, it would have to be done through the CRM Module, but that is additional money/month. In that module, you still have to do a 2 step process, click the "Cancelled" button, then go to the CRM tab and enter a journal entry, correct? Can you track across all the leads that have been cancelled the reasons for the cancellations?


The reason for the request to populate directly off the "Cancelled" button, 1 - to save time/convenience/more likely to be done and 2 - the ability to put a tracker on that answer and see the reason, over time, for the canellations.

You are correct. The solution we gave is not the most convenient and is not searchable for statistics later. It's the only solution we have though now. We have a task to create a better solution, but I'm not sure when or what we will come up with at this time.
