Can the deposit be included in balance due?
Answered
Hello! In our contract, we have a refundable deposit that is returned once the units are inspected for damage at pickup. I've run into an issue where the total balance due does not include the deposit amount so I'm having people pay the wrong amount.
For instance, we have a rental fee of $250 for a slide. A $50 refundable deposit is due to reserve the unit so really the total balance should be $300. Is there any way to change the calculation to reflect that?
Thanks!
Nate
We don't have a feature specifically for this. Anywhere in our system where "deposit" is mentioned, we are using that term to refer to a payment amount that is made in order to reserve the booking that goes toward the balance of the event.
But what some of our clients do is enter a "required" accessory called "Refundable Deposit." Then after the event is over, the lead can be modified to add a new line item "Deposit Refunded" as a line item with a negative amount.
