Be able to pull up inventory by typing it in

Maybe there is a way but when you have extensive accessory under one category it would be much easier to pull up by typing it in. Example Glassware and we have brandy snifter, champagne flutes, white glass, waterglasses, etc etc about 32 in all. Any suggestions or changes would be much appreciated. Maybe this is not the system I should be using? Any help would be appreciated.
