Automatically set text "emails" to "text" to avoid accidents, eliminate clicks...

I'm toying around with your new text feature. Any progress on including a different number to return the text to? I know you cant send from my number yet, but perhaps a 'reply-to' option, other than manually entering that into our templates?

Anyhow, a designation on the settings>email center>new text screen to set a new 'email' as a 'text' would be nice, so that when employees choose the text from the dropdown, it's automatically set to 'text' and it's sent to their cell, not email by accident if we don't switch it.

Additionally, this would allow for automatic text reminders , as opposed to having to send all texts manually. for example, if we want to send the customer a copy of weather policy to their phone the day before events, we could.

I also noticed today that the text 'emails' dont show in the log...is that intentional?

I think a separate text splash screen of some sort would be very helpful and more intuitive. After clicking on the "text" radio button, maybe the page can provide some feedback and dumb down the content of the email so that it's text only instead of graphics, html, etc.

Alternately Matthew, you should just create different 'emails' (texts) to send specifically as a text. So for instance, we created a dumbed-down text quote and just use that

This will work on the next release for sending text messages to customers as long as you use the appropriate template and save copies from it.

Is this functionality live? I see an email in the email center called" Placeholder for texts" but dont want to mess with it if it won't work. Thanks!

Not yet. Our release hasn't went out yet. It's planned to go out this month pending any bug discoveries.
