Auto Generated City Name

I'm having some issues with the auto generated feature. It appears with some cities that when I type in the zip code it inputs a different city/town. Now I've gone in before to fix it but when I hit save it goes back to the other city. Is there any way to fix this.
Also when entering a zip code example 06880 it drops the first 0 and reads 6880. Any reason why it would do this. Thanks.
