Under Consideration

On three occasions over the past five years I have had a scheduled event not show up in IO to alert us because we failed to create a contract. Here is what happened: customer created a quote, then called in to provide payment by credit card or sent a check based upon the quote. The payment was entered but we neglected to create a contract. The customer never received a contract to sign so our software did not alert us to create one before the event which also did not show up on our calendar. The customer called to ask where we were and we did not have them scheduled although they thought everything was fine since they received an email saying their payment had been received. Obviously we should be smart enough to check to see if there is a contract when a payment is made, but if somehow we pay for a quote without creating a contract is there anyway we can get an alert before the event?

Sounds like a fair enough request. I think it would probably be better just automatically change the status if a payment is entered, rather than send an alert.
