Alert Customer when booking On Line

I have many customers who never realized they booked their order online. They submit another quote to make a change and items shows as unavailable so they move on to another unit and book that as well. Now I have multiple orders for same day for same customer.

Is there a way for system to automatically generate a "Thank You for Submitting Your order" type email so they know they actually did booked the order online? I have created my own order confirmation but I have to manually send out when I see an auto booking has been submitted.

The autobooking alert simply means they've clicked to generate their contract. if they have paid a deposit, we have a payment received auto email, and we also have a "contract received" auto email for when they sign the contract. So either of these emails would accomplish this. Leads that don't do either are in the booking process, but haven't done whats required to confirm the order fully. You still have communication with the customer and decide you'll still go do the job despite not having the contract signed or deposit paid, which is why we move contracted leads to complete, because we assume you'd have moved it back down to quote if you've followed up with the customer and they aren't actually ready to book.

Many of our residential customers book online and not all of our equipment require deposit or signed contract to book. I do follow up usually the next day but in the meantime, as I mentioned, customer has booked several times trying to make adjustments not realizing they have already book the order, then item shows up as not available and they move on to another unit.

Not requiring a signed contract to book is probably not something we'll create custom code to support.

Not what I'm asking for...just want customer to know they have initiated the booking process so they don't book over and over again and put in multiple orders.

Without me having to go in a send an email manually before I've had a chance to reach out to customer to get order confirmed.

Autobooking, which is clicking the button that says "book now" and being brought to the contract, would prompt the customer to sign the contract, which (if there is no deposit required), would confirm their event. Creating an auto email wouldn't prevent the customer from clicking that button and changing the status of the lead, so I'm not sure what functionality you're asking for if the contract received email isn't what you want to utilize.

Again, just want to alert the customer that when they clicked that button they have initiated the booking process so they don't repeatedly submit orders online before I have had a chance to contact them to completed and confirm order.

I'll just continue to send email manually. Thanks for your input.
