URGENT: Error Establishing a Database Connection Site Down After Cache Plugin Conflict

Hi everyone, I could use some help.

I recently activated WP Super Cache, which caused several error codes, so I quickly deactivated it. Then I attempted to activate WP Fastest Cache, but received a server error message and couldn’t proceed. Immediately after that, my WordPress site went completely down with this error:

“Error establishing a database connection”

I’ve:

•Deactivated all cache plugins via FTP

•Verified that Elementor and other major plugins were functioning before this

•Reverted as many recent changes as possible

•Checked with HostingChecker and it looks like I’m hosted via Armour Cloud / InflatableOffice’s hosting infrastructure, not third-party hosting

Questions:

1.Can IO help restore the site or does this require direct hosting access to Armour Cloud?

2.Could a plugin conflict (like WP Super Cache or Fastest Cache) corrupt the DB or config file on IO’s managed setup?

3.What’s the proper way to implement full-page caching or use WP Rocket on an IO-hosted WordPress instance?

Plugins Recently Activated: WP Super Cache, WP Fastest Cache (both now deactivated)

CDN: Cloudflare (currently paused)

Any guidance is appreciated — especially if you’ve been through this with IO hosting before. Thanks in advance!

We use WP-Optimize for caching on our websites. Im not familiar with WP Fastest Cache or WP Super Cache.

Firstly, thank you for resolving my issue. Secondly, are there any known issues with specific plugins and io hosting or rental software? Anything I should avoid or that is recommended? Third, is persistent object caching supported?

Thank you

There are none that come to mind. There is usually issues trying to run multiple cache plugins at the same time though. It doesn't seem that persistent object caching is supported with wp-optimize at this time.
