Expiration dates on ride inspection permits

I am looking for a way to handle this currently in IO, and I have a request for a feature to make things like this a lot easier.

I have an optional field on inventory items that displays the date that my current permit will expire. I need a way to compare that to the lead date, so I can build an automation (or have a built-in warning) to notify me if an item is not going to have a current permit for a particular lead.

This would be really easy to do if filters could be set to "Optional field date is before lead date". If we could use variables in that "value" position on the filter, that would be even better. ebcae991acfa099316df29c15814d82d

Hi Casey,

I think you can do exactly what you have set out to do. Please see my video here on creating an automation that would send to leads that have expired items, and let me know if this is along the lines of what you are trying to do.

Thanks for your help. I had to add a step to make it work, but this really helped me to get there. The filter needs three variations of the expiration date:

"Expiration date next 28 days"

or "Expiration date is Last 10000000 days (any day in the past)"

or "Expiration date is not set".
