We do not want the workers to assign themself so i do not want them to see the ''available'' shift.

Even if they aren't allowed to assign to themselves they would be able to see available shifts. The only way to keep this from happening would be to be sure that all shifts are assigned so they aren't showing as available on the calendar...maybe make a placeholder worker for these shifts so they don't show? A worker named "Available"?
