Webhook to RingCentral

I am trying to create a Zapier automation (or other integration tool) to send every new contact from our website, to Ring Central. This will save us the step of searching IO for their info to know who is texting. 1. Can you help create a webhook to help with this? 2. What would be the best way to sync our leads up until now, with Ring Central?

To use webhooks, do the following:

  1. Setup a Filter that identifies the leads that should trigger a webhook action.
  2. Setup a Report that contains the information you want to send.
  3. Setup an Automation that uses the Filter from above.
  4. On the Automation, use the Send Data action and enter the webhook URL we are supposed to send data to.
  5. Also enter the Report on the Send Data action so we know what to send.

Thanks for this. The problem is that Step 4 requires a URL, but so does Zapier. Here's what Zapier Says:

To set up a webhook in Zapier for InflatableOffice.com, follow these steps:

  1. Create a Zap: Start by creating a new Zap in your Zapier account.

2. Select Webhooks by Zapier: In the Zap editor, click the plus + icon to add an action step. Search for and select Webhooks by Zapier. 3. Choose the Event: Click the Event dropdown menu and select a webhook option. You can choose between GET, POST, PUT, or Custom Request depending on your needs. 4. Enter the URL: In the URL field, enter the URL where InflatableOffice’s API can receive requests. 5. Fill out the Data Fields: Enter the necessary data fields. If using a templated action like PUT, POST, or GET, enter the key for the field on the left side and the field value on the right.

Here's another article. From what I understood (I don't have an Zapier account) You will set up the filter, report and API key in IO. Then you login to Zapier and create a new Zap. Set up the trigger and enter API Key. Customize trigger details, select report and filter. You would create the automation in IO with this same info to "send data" to Zapier w/ the URL created for this "zap"
