Can I.O be used with a different accounting software rather than Quickbooks. For example Xero or Myob? or if not is it possible to export files manually so that it can be used with a different program?

They don't sync with other softwares in the same way as they do with qbo. However, you may be able to create some sort of link to others using automations and zapier.
