Hey,

I recently placed some new inventory items on my website, and placed them into maintenance for a date i know they will be here and be inspected (2nd week of April 2025). I recently had someone obtain a quote on our site with those items showing up in their quote. Is this a normal process for items in maintenance/new items?

I did end up going into advanced settings of each of the new items i don't have yet and restricting the item for booking. To make sure no one auto books the item(s). Let me know if you can assist with this or point me in the right direction of a video or link to follow, to properly log new rental inventory on website for customers to see but not be available to rent/auto book until we receive the product.

When putting the item into maintenance, if the customer is able to add the item to the shopping cart, they can create a quote, but the item will show a conflict on the lead. This will prevent them from autobooking.

If you do not wish for the items to display on the website, you can go to the advanced settings of these items and uncheck the "show item in the Quote form" in the advanced settings of your inventory:

If you wish for the item to display on your website, but would like to prevent the customer from getting a quote, you could go to Settings-->Online Quoting and turn on "Show Availability Pre-Cart". This will show if an item is unavailable in the shopping cart and should prevent the customer from creating a quote with that item.
