Washington State sales tax location codes
Answered
Has anyone in Washington State figured out a work around for the location codes needed for sales tax reporting. In Washington tax rates are determined by address - not by zip code, city or county. One zip code can be attached to several tax rates depending on your address. For reporting purposes taxes are reported by location codes. Anyone else have this problem? Have you found a fix for the IO?
I know some users have set up with automations? For example...create a "tax code" optional field. Then create automations that say....if city equals XXX then fill in optional field with tax code XXX. (i hope that makes sense) Then add the tax code optional fields to your reports for taxes.
Others have ran the report by city or county then added this information to the .csv when they submit taxes
