Working with 1099 Contractors

I have 1099 contractors who I pay on hourly basis. They use the IO Workers application to track their time.

I want to be able to see the hours they have worked and what I owe them for. I have set them up as if they were employees. Is this the correct procedure?

In the payroll summary screen there is a time entry that is unassigned. How do I assign that to an event?

If you click on the green numbers under "hours", it will show the workers clock-in and clock-out times. You would have to go back to the lead and assign a shift for the worker for it to be an assigned shift here on payroll.

They do have a shift it is for Freer Holding Co. Can I assign multiple timecard entries to one shift.

When they use the app to login and out it will have them choose which lead/shift it's assigned to...I don't think there would be any way for you to do this afterwards. Checking on this

Any update on assigning the unassigned time?

Sorry, not a way to do this. A shift would need to be created with matching times for each clock in/out for the day if you wanted the times to be linked to a shift/ lead

I was trying to match the shift to the timeclock for Jordan Lee. When I created the shift I could select time in 15 minute increments. The time card entry is in single minute increments so I doubt the two will ever match. How to do other IO users deal with this?

I created and new shift for Freer Holding Company for October 31, 2024 from 1 PM to 3:45 PM how do I assign that from the timesheet?

The issue is that the worker didn't attach the shift to the clock in/outs on the app (theres a spot to do this when they are using the timeclock. There wouldn't be a way to do this after the fact. The shift would need to be assigned before it starts so they can attach the two
