How to prevent Customer from making Payment before they sign Contract?

A dishonest customer booked our rental items, Paid using a credit card. We delivered as expected, but days later the customer CHARGED BACK the PAYMENT claiming they didnt authorize the payment.
We went to print the contract as evidence of the transaction only to find that the customer didt seem to have signed it.
HOW CAN WE PREVENT CUSTOMER FROM MAKING PAYMENT IF THE CONTRACT IS UNSIGNED?
