IP Address

3Today I saw a Google 2 star and also a 5 star rating given on a customer survey for an event we just completed. I saw this in the log. I noted the IP address and searched the origin finding it was from Grand Rapids Michigan, but IO attributed it in log to my name.
Puzzled by this information and am trying to learn more about searching for legit IP addresses. It seems that there are several free services that offer this, including Whatismyip.com, which reported for my ip that it originaes in my hometown correctly, but also reports it is in Grand Rapids, Michgan, half the country away from me. Could that have something to do with an address fom my provider, Comcast?
