Can someone please explain what makes a customer active vs inactive in IO? Does the software assign the customer as inactive by default? Does the active/inactive status of a customer affects whether they appear on reports?

They don't show on the customer page and won't pull in as an option when you type there name in the customer fields. Effectively making you create a second profile to have to go through if they book again.

Correct, they don't show on the customer page. Is there someone from IO support who can explain and resolve this issue?

When a profile is created it should be active. I think I need an example of what isn't working as you expect to help

This just happened to me. I created a new customer. It then prompted me and asked if I wanted to make them active. I searched the help and didn't find any clarity on this. Under what conditions would I ever create a new customer and not want them to be active? What is the benefit of making a customer inactive?

Only thing I can think of is if you have an old customer profile that mistakingly gets attached to a lead you can go make it inactive so that it doesn't keep happening? Maybe it's an old profile, wrong info?

We have this problem.....ALOT!! All new customers should be active and then we should go in and make them inactive if we want to. I have probably thousands of customers in the inactive list. Not sure why IO doesn't make them active right away. Sometimes it will pop up in the yellow reminder box in the bottom and ask if we want to make them active and we say yes but they should be active no matter what. Very frustrating when a customer calls and says they already rented from us before and they don't pop up and then we have to go in the back door to customer files and usually find them in the inactive preset.

Ironically, things have been pretty good lately. But this morning I had a new customer appear with the "would you like to make this customer active" alert for the fist time in a while.

When an inactive customer calls/texts in via the number in their inactive profile, it doesn't pop up for you?
