Websites updating slowly
Not a Problem
I have seen a few people post about this problem, so I tested it myself. What I found is the item pages update very quickly when new items are added to inventory, but the category pages do not. As of this moment, a new item I created has been on my website for a while, but it still does not appear on a category page.
See this post, and specifically my comment thread for more details.

Did you try purging the cache of WordPress? If you have autoptimize or sg optimizer plug ins?
That shouldn't matter but I've noticed making changes to my site recently hasn't "published" unless I clear that cache so thought maybe that might help.

This might be a false alarm. I updated all of my plugins, then created a new item, and it was on my site in 18 minutes. It's possible that everyone having this problem is neglecting to update plugins.

I tested on the demo site and adding a new item updated the category with it within 15 minutes. It was most likely a caching issue...updating the plugins probably caused the cache to reset. Depending on the cache program you are using and the settings it sometimes refreshes on a schedule, but it's supposed to do it automatically when changes happen.
