Link Share Network

Google made it clear years ago that sites involved in link sharing networks could be penalized in the search engine results page under certain circumstances. There are many articles on the web that caution against this practice.

Please help me understand what is IO doing with link sharing that instills confidence that any link sharing done between IO sites will help and not hurt our rankings?

I find very little in IO documentation that discusses this. Thank you.

Hi Michael!

Thank you for reaching out and for your insightful questions regarding our link-share network. Your dedication to understanding SEO intricacies, especially about Google's Penguin algorithm, is admirable and aligns with our goal of informed decision-making.

I'd like to emphasize that participation in our link-share network is entirely optional. We believe in empowering our users to make choices that best suit their unique SEO strategies and goals. Your autonomy is key to us.

Here are a few notes on the process that may interest you.

1. Quantity and Pacing: In our approach to link sharing, we prioritize a gradual integration of backlinks. This deliberate pacing is designed to align with the organic growth patterns favored by search engines. Most users only end up, in the long run, with 2-3 outgoing and incoming links each. In the grand scheme of backlink schemes and networks this is a pretty conservative approach relatively.

2. Relevance: The links we facilitate are between sites within our network, ensuring a degree of relevancy and quality in the industry.

3. Transparency and Exclusion: You can view a list of the sites you are linking to and that have linked to your site. While being able to manually exclude sites that yours is linking to. This will give you complete control over what sites yours provides backlinks to.

4. Things outside of our control: As you may already know you can check all of your backlinks on your site using free tools like https://ahrefs.com/backlink-checker Outside of our platform you may have other sites linking to yours. If you identify bad backlinks that you believe might harm your site, and you're sure you can't get them removed, you can use the Disavow Tool in Google Search Console. This tells Google to ignore these links when assessing your site. However, be cautious with this tool, as improper use can harm your site’s performance.

In cases when users opt-in for a paid SEO package we turn this feature on. However, we recognize and respect the ever-evolving nature of search engine algorithms. No single source holds the definitive blueprint for SEO success, and as such, we encourage a cautious and personalized approach to utilizing our tools. We certainly wouldn't intentionally develop tools that we felt harmful or devious, as that could in turn affect our reputation and profits.

Should you choose to engage with our link share network, given your apprehension, you could monitor your site's ranking and performance metrics closely. This vigilant approach would allow you to assess the impact of the link sharing on your site and make informed adjustments as needed.

In closing, your proactive approach to SEO is commendable. We trust your judgment in guiding the direction of your operation and we are simply an avenue to provide you with your options.
