Journal Field Explanations

When I create a new journal entry, there are some fields that I don't understand and fail to find any video or explanation for in the Knowledge Base.

The dropdown CRM Status has the status Awaiting Reply, Open, and Closed.

There's also a check box for "Read"

And a drop down for Journal: New, In Progress, Completed, etc..

How are these fields relevant to to a journal entry? Thanks

in short, there are prebuilt reports that you can only access on the customer list page.


The New, in progress, complete, etc dropdown don't apply to journals. The other selections change it to a task.
