Cancelled Events and Tasks

Is there a way that when and event is moved to cancelled status that all the tasks get moved to completed or some other task status?
we have had a few events cancel that had future tasks on them and they popped up to do and was caught but in the future we might not get that lucky
even if we had a pop up when moving a lead to cancel that said you have tasks to you want to cancel them or something like that would help
