Hello

would it be possible to use the automation to add a tag to a lead ?

I have created the filter and the automation but for now, it was only able to use it to set the customer note with what i want. ''WEB''

I would rather have WEB in the tags section.

Or if we could set the field ''referal'' but right now it is not available

Sorry, automations can only set fields at this time

Wait, we can't use an automation to set field>contact tag name>WEB?

(If it works, it will probably remove any other tags, I think).


What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the tag?

I just want to be able to know when an order has come from the web site for report purpose.

Did you try the automation and it didn't work? It's not always instant and may take up to 15 minutes for it to actually reflect on the lead/customer. AND it will overwrite any other tags you may use.


One way I do this (though it may not help for orders that advance past quote status) is the lead status settings allows for one status for online created quote and one status for admin created quote. But once you move past to contracted, you lose that.


Alternatively, you could use an optional field and use the automation to set the optional field. The benefit of this over tags as far as automations go, is that it won't overwrite other tags you may be using.

TAGS is not available in the select section when you chose ''set field''

Nor is Referal ....

I know i could create an optional field but i already have many... so i was trying to use a field that already exist.
