To export your rental data to excel you will need to make a Report showing the data (rental names, rental items). Then export the data to excel from the inventory page.

To Export the data to excel:
Inventory
Go to Settings -> Inventory
Make sure that there are no filters active that could be limiting the information displayed
Select the report for data you wish to have in your export file
Click the download icon shown in the screenshot
