How to Apply Fee for Optional Fields

I created a new optional field and would like to apply a fee. I made it a checkbox but I only see "none" as an option for "apply fee."

Go to settings>promo/fee and create a fee. then tie the two together with that drop down. Just be careful that it won't work this way on anything other than check boxes. to use another field and apply a fee, you have to use conditional pricing and filters.

Chad's answer is correct. You will need to create the fee under Settings-->Promotions&Fees.
