Inventory Doubles Multiple Locations

Hello,
I am a little confused as to how to set ups doubles at multiple locations.
Example:
Pink slide: qty: 2
Need 1 in Los Angeles/OC
Need 1 in Rancho Cucamonga/ WC
How can I set up my doubles so that those locations can only use that 1 item.
At the same time, still want to share some inventory with all locations.
I hope this makes sense.

I believe you'd need to enter the item twice by the same name and the assign them to the category and page associated with the locations. Then on the others just assign to categories and pages of both locations.
