Prevent use of stolen credit cards?

What do you guys do to prevent the use of stolen credit cards, especially for last minute bookers where the charge back wouldn’t occur until a couple of weeks after the event date?

Ive tried to say in the instructions that if using a credit card, a deposit must be made at least 21 days out but that does not prevent people from using a credit card less than 21 days out.

I’ve tried asking for an upload of their drivers license but that does not let me know if it matches the name on the credit card.

Also, the “customer” may say they are paying for their nieces bounce at the nieces house so the drivers license address may not match the delivery address anyway. (So who know the drivers license could be fake too).

IO tells me there is no way to prevent people from using a credit card at the last minute and no way to make sure the name on the card matching the drivers license. There has got to be a way to prevent getting ripped off again.

The only thing you can really do is turn off the pay the balance setting and only allow customers to pay the deposit, then you would have to either take the payment from the customer or allow cash only payments for the remaining balance, then when your taking the payment you can verify that the name on the drivers license matches the CC. Also try this.
