I would like to edit the wording on the contract page and add a section for customer to make notes on the contract or us to see. how to i do this?

You can't add a section for notes on the contract page; you can only do so on the quote page by using an optional field.
To change the wording. Go to settings>document center> pages>"page group">contract page.
