How do I get a month by month breakdown of the total sales tax collected?

what we do is a report like this

we have to sort by city in WV

Then to pull the correct data we use this sort

1be0f67a7038ec1dc1ba2a59c08e28ea

We export to excel so we can manipulate it how we want


you can change any fields you want to show up, your sort order , grouping etc

so much can be done depending on how much you want or neeed for the report

I'm looking at your report and I'm seeing that most of you leads have been tax exempt? I am seeing some sales tax on this report.

Only data I need is X $'s collected in sales tax each month.

Correct. Almost 90% of my business is Tax exempt.

did you sort on event date or payment date, keep in mind some events pay deposit in one month but takes place in another so be careful what your sort date is it will mess you up bad

I don't take deposits. My clients are Government, Schools & Churches.

With that being said, the event could happen in April but I don't receive payment until July.

In the month of April I could have 30 events but only 3 of those paid sales tax.

correct which is why it is important to use PAYMENT DATE in the sort section

so since you are 90% tax exempt that is most likely why you didnt see sales tax numbers

use a 6month window of dates to test and see what shows up
