Hi

We have an email automation with the subject line “RE: Special Offer on Your Foam Party”, and it looks like it is currently going to contacts outside of the customer type we want. We would like this automation to send only to clients where the Customer Type is set to Birthday.

Right now, we are seeing contacts with other customer types, such as Pre-School, connected to this workflow, and we want to make sure this offer is limited to birthday clients only.

Could you please let us know:

  1. How to update the automation so it only sends to contacts with Customer Type = Birthday
  2. Whether this should be changed in the automation trigger, filter, audience settings, or somewhere else in the CRM
  3. If there is a best-practice way to prevent this email from going to other customer types moving forward.

Thanks

Ry

The automation that is using this email template is found in Settings-->"Automations-->Foam - 3 Day Follow -Up".

The filter being used for this automation is "Foam - 3 Days f/u DID NOT book Bday". This determines when the email is sent and to who. If you add to the filter "Contact Customer Type" contains "Birthday" this will allow the email to only send to this customer type.
