filter for wind speeds (for blacklist date)

Is there no filter variable for the wind alert field? How can I filter just for items with a wind alert set higher than X?

On days where inflatables have to be cancelled for high winds I want to be able to set a blacklist day so people aren't autobooking inflatables. However, I don't want to restrict autobooking for things that aren't wind-sensitive, so being able to filter the blacklist is great. Except I can't figure out how to set a filter just for wind-sensitive items based on the wind alert field.

Should I request a feature, or use a workaround?

I think that's the best workaround option. I've got it set up now with the filter for Rentals Category contains Bounce House OR Slide OR Canopy AND Lead Surface DOES NOT EQUAL Indoor.

Thanks for the suggestion.

You can create a filter for windspeed, but its not based on the alert/item. It's a lead variable.

The lead variable is for the actual weather, not for the items on the lead. Or are you talking about something else?

Correct. I read your ticket as wanting to set a blackout date if the weather was going to be over xmph then set the blackout date but honestly that's only about 10-14 day lead time so that's probably not great.

I think you're filter would have to be a lead filter and then use the wind speed filter there. But you'd also want to include the items/categories you want to prevent booking

I'm setting the blackout date manually, as we get a huge amount of booking attempts when the wind is to high because when all the operators in the area cancel for wind, the people try to book with us. It's the filter itself that I'm having issues with--I don't want the blackout date to prohibit autobooking my giant Jenga, or Cornhole, or dunk tank, etc.

The easiest way I can think of to do this would be to make a filter for the blackout date that applies it only to inventory with wind alert variables =< 15mph. (Would be even cooler if I could set it to be wind alert variables over the forecasted windspeed, but that's a bigger ask, I know.) That would allow my dunk tank (empty wind alert variable) and lawn games (no alert variables either) to still be autobooked, while inflatables with 10 or 15mph limits are blacked out.

However.....the wind alert variable isn't an option in the inventory filter dropdown.

Why not a lead filter that says "if the wind speed is over xMPH and the rental categories include x,y,z"
