Categories in my header are incorrect

When I edit my header on my website, there is an option to show my categories instead of a drop-down option. I want to be able to use this feature, however when I do that 3 or 4 categories that I do not have in my IO come up. They are dead tabs that do not go anywhere, I have at least one category that is up and running that does not come up in my header when I made the change.

Any help would be much appreicated!
