Update Quote Page - Not Updating the Quote

Hello, I cannot seem to get the update quote page to work as intended. Unless I’m missing something. I have custom quote forms, but I loaded the default templates in the Special Events page group for testing. I couldn’t find much documentation, and nothing that could provide insight or direction. Can someone please advise how to make this page work properly?

If the quote update page is in the same page group as the original quote it won't work.

You have to create a pagegroup specifically for that update.

Can you confirm the process (at least what I believe to be true): create the page content on the Quote Request page (in a new page group) and that will feed into the Quote Update page. Is that correct?

No. Add a new page template. Type in a name for the page group (I usually call it something like "tent update" and the type should be set as quote update. Load default page. Edit to what you need. Save and close.

Thank you for confirming. One last question. I see the qid & cid are not present in the link, but uid (which I’m not familiar with) is. How is this link going to pull the lead’s information, or apply it appropriately? For instance, if I include that same generic link in auto emails, how is it going to be directed to the correct lead?

You wouldn't use a generic link. You would use the variable for the quote link found by going to Settings-->Template Variables

I'm pretty sure it stands for Unique ID. Maybe try replacing that part of the url with

qid=*leadid*&cid=*contact_id*

And put it in a template email. Then use the email to send and request more information.
