Cant figure this out...upgraded to contract status...neither i nor the customer can make a payment on the payment screen due to the attached error

I see the soft conflict, but we have 4 in inventory. I changed the recovery time to 4 hours instead of 8, and it works fine, but that still makes no sense. We have an item coming back at 9pm, and this is not rented til 8am the next day....

It wasn't because of the soft conflict...there was something else going on but it looks like you since fixed it.

all we did was change the items reset time to 4 hrs
