OK Community, question:
now that I have imported a prospect contact list into IO, how do I begin to move the names from that list into my IO contacts to assign and track contacting these cold leads using my IO automations? Texts, emails, newsletters and assign staff to call? I want to track them from initial contact to closing in IO.
Maybe I am asking for an IO function that is not really part of the IO Lead system, but then, why am I downloading a csv file with prospect names (not customers) and how do I use that in IO?

-Filter your list: You can create a filter on your Customers list that isolates the contacts you just uploaded. For example, a simple filter for "Customer Create Date is after 9/23" will give you a list of all your new contacts.
-Use filter for automation: You can then use this saved filter with your automations. When you create an automation, you can select this filter to target only your new prospects with emails or texts.
A crucial point to remember is marketing consent. Before sending bulk emails or newsletters to this list, you should ensure that you have consent from these contacts. Once you have your filter set up, you can start building the specific email automations, text messages, or tasks you need to track your team's outreach.

If you have the CRM, and a sales "team" I'd create an automation with that filter, probably modified bc it will run on all new leads too, and set the automation to put them in the opportunity bin. Then have your sales staff go to the organizations page, in the search bar select the "Opportunities" preset and they can work the list manually.
