Shift without clock-in shows full scheduled hours worked

When a worker is scheduled for a shift, but then doesn't clock in on it (ie. if they use an 'unscheduled' shift, or if they used a break to record a gap between two shifts) then the un-tracked shift time gets counted in totals as though it was clocked in the entire time.

Is there a way to make it so that these un-used shifts are ignored, rather than counted?

That would be kinda cool, You can build a better report for your payroll now in the workers page. It's been pretty great but still misses a couple things.

I'd like to add a report column to the export that shows the time notes emlployees put on their time clock.

Yes, absolutely!

Thank you for mentioning the Workers Reports...I just built my first workers report and got a full report of clock in/out times, which I had also been needing. I just wish some of the files were better described (ie. Shift Actual Hours vs Shift Clocked Hours). It's also a huge bummer that clicking on any row of that report just takes you to the employee's profile, rather than allowing edits to the shift (like the Payroll Summary does, for example).

I saw that they have "Shift Notes" as an option, but looks like that's not the employee's clock-in/out notes. So close!

You can make changes to the shifts on the shifts page. Which would be great if that report was on that page then the edits could maybe work better.

Let us know exactly what you wanted for each...the workers report and the payroll report/export and we can see if can be updated

Payroll Summary Export

- include the time in, time out, break in, break out times for each shift.

- include notes on all the above punch times

Worker's Report

- a way to make sure that ALL shifts for a worker(s) are shown

- clicking on a shift allows editing the shift, not opening the worker's profile

- More notes (the green underlines with pop ups on hover) for the variables ( like Shift Actual Hours and Shift Clocked Hours).

Let me know if this response wasn't what you were asking for, Susan.

Thanks!
