Alert for suboptimal reservation?

To keep things simple, we wish to bill in 4-hour blocks. This is already in place.

However, we do not want to risk losing business for individuals who may want to bill outside of this method.

Is there a way to add a notice to the checkout if someone books, for example, a 6-hour event where they are then paying for 8 hours?

A lot of our business is with individuals, and most of our customers appreciate the simplified 4-hour billing model. But we want to make sure that we have some visibility for anyone looking for something different, and we would like to get that in the checkout/quote generation process.

If this is a better thing to present to the site designers, that is fine. I simply wished to ask here just in case before using up time in our contract.

Thank you for your time.

Anyone in our support department can add a message to the quote form easily. What would you like it to say exactly?

Something where, if the reservation timeframe is not divisible by 4, it says

"We see you have a reservation that is not divisible by four hours. Note that all products are rented in four-hour blocks."

Sorry for only just now seeing your response!

It would be a lot more difficult to display this message with a condition like that. I was referring to displaying something like "Events are charged in 4 hour increments. A 5 hour event will be charged the 8 hour event rate." Somewhere near the time input on the form.
