Does anyone know why yoast plugin wouldn't be recognizing page content?

I am using yoast to add keyphrases and meta descriptions to the pages on our site. I am working on our inventory/category pages and noticed that the yoast plugin seo analysis is saying that "no internal links appear in this page". It also says that there is no text on the page either even though there the category description text and many links to the product pages within each category. I just want to make sure I am not doing somehting wrong here or have a setting set incorrectly, yoast/seo beginner.

I don't work on this myself, but I have heard from the person here who does, Yoast doesn't recognize the text that is synced over from IO. It only recognizes text that is added directly to the site. What I don't know is whether Google recognizes the IO description text.
