Hide accessory question

Does the checkbox hide the accessory based on page or element class? Bc I used the div table code from the invoice on my packing list and all of a sudden my accessories stopped showing up.

It seems the vehicle packing list is somehow being counted as a customer facing page when it comes to the "hide" in the advance accessory options.

Actually, it looks like it hides on pages as far as a line item and only hides on the packing list variable. Is there a way we can fix this? It would make some things so much easier.

I'd like to see the hide checkbox on the advance accessory options hide the line item on the quote, invoice and contract page/templates but not on vehicle and packing list page/template.

Is this possible? It would really allow for a more full featured packing list this way.

Hopefully this video is helpful.

I have updated the ticket with our developers and will let you know what they advise.

The hide accessory option only applies to customer facing things. It should show on all packing lists.

It doesn't seem to. If I check the hide accessories option, it hides the line item from packing lists templates and only shows on the packing list variable.

Does that make sense?

We are still investigating the issue. However, as a sanity check, I tried the default PL template and it shows the items whether or not the "hide" option checked. It seems there is something with the custom PL you have created that is hiding these items.

I looked at the default. What you're looking at is the rental_packing_list variable vs the rental_pack_list variable. I'm wanting those accessories to show up as "additional items"

The variable rental_pack_list only is intended to grab the packing list items of the item it is checking and does not include accessories to that item. We do not currently have a way to loop through the items on a lead from a non-customer perspective that would honor showing accessories even if marked hidden. We will consider adding one.

The default template uses a variable which includes accessories as packing list items (including any hidden accessories.) When using the other variable, it will not include accessories. This is causing the issue you are currently experiencing. The rental loop does not show hidden items since it is used for both customer and non-customer facing pages. Eventually we will incorporate options on the rental loop to accommodate features like you are requesting. In the mean time, are you able to incorporate the variable which includes accessories as part of the packing list of the main item?

I am. The problem I have is that items listed as an accessory in the rental_packing_list variable don't show my optional field of warehouse location, which is the bin number we assign that item to. So then people take the wrong thing.

When I separate it out, I can include those optional fields in the loop and make it easier for my employees to find what they need. Specifically newer guys.

I'll look and see and keep you posted. But I think we're talking about 2 different things.
