Template variables for additional contacts on a lead

Is there a template variable for the first name of an additional contact on lead?

My email template uses the first name from the lead, but it captures the primary lead and I'm selecting an additional lead email and I want to address them by their first name.

Thank you

Hi Harry,

We do have the variable *contact_additional* which displays the additional contact name with cell, office or home phone (in that order, if the lead has it). The variable will display the additional contacts name and number but at the moment that's the only variable I can see including the additional contacts name. I can put in a feature request for more variables for additional contacts if you'd like!

I understand that what I'm asking for may not be possible with the architecture of the system, but let me give you a little bit more detail about the problem I was trying to solve: I have a lead Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House #45061615 and I was sending an email to Ryan English who is an additional contact. I clicked on the email icon in his customer contact information. I selected my Event Confirmation email template. It uses *ctfirstname* variable to populate the first name of the lead. In this case Jason.

The issue for me and you is that I have three additional contacts: my primary contact, my accounting contact, and my additional contact. What I like the system to do is use it like a temporary variable so when I click on the email icon, it copies it and populates in a temporary field with the contact information for the contact I have selected. So, if I'm sending in the email to my primary contact, it would fill in their information. If I select the accounting contact, it would fill in their information and the same for the additional contact.

Using this lead as example: if I click on the email icon (would be nice if you could make it work fro texts as well) for the Primary Contact it would populate Jason for the first name. If I selected Billing it would populate Accounts and if I selected the Additional contact it would populate Ryan. I want to use the same variable for all three contacts but the value is determined by the icon I select in the Customer contact section.

I completely understand! I will go ahead and put this in as a feature request to see if this could be added in a future software update!

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my response but yes that's it. That's what I'm trying to get added in a future future request and the way it would work is outlined in my prior resp
