Prices on items for one event changed to $0

Lead ID 1325591 - Yesterday one of my employees opened this lead to make a simple change and a bunch of item prices changed to $0. We can't tell how this happened. Do you have any way to roll back the changes? Or do we need to recreate the order?

It looks like the person who edited the lead checked the "recalculate" button by the total. The recalculate button recalculates the whole lead with the prices saved in the settings. Quick-add line items (the inactive ones in this lead), do not have a price saved for them because they are not in the inventory saved.


This lead's log does have an "customer - invoice" email that was sent that you can reference to change the prices back. There isn't a way to roll it back automatically.

Thanks for the tip on the Invoice.

However, she really doesn't think she checked the recalculate box; is there any other possible explanation? This really is our only major concern with IO - the possibility of losing information with no backup other than printed contracts. I was planning to talk with you guys at IAAPA about this, but maybe you have suggestions for me now.

There is no other likely explanation we can think of at the moment, although, it might be out there somewhere. We try to log changes as much as possible. There are somethings that are not being logged currently. I suggest if there is something you are concerned about losing that you let us know so we can either verify there are ways to recover it already or so we can make a way. Thanks.

Both of my customer service reps who have noticed this happening, just asked "Where's the recalculate button?". It doesn't seem likely they're both hitting it accidentally. One of them, possibly, but the other one is very cautious.


I guess this would be one example where I would like a more surefire way to view previous versions of a lead. If we hadn't sent an invoice or printed a copy, we might not have that price history anywhere. We're trying to get away from printing everything; that's why this is important. It's not ideal, but can we configure the system to send an invoice to a dedicated mailbox every time we save a lead? I imagine you probably have a better solution than that.


In a perfect world, I would just have a complete backup of IO saved on my server. I'm sure that's not a simple thing though.
