status is changing after payment going backwards

Lately something changed on my status progression of leads. I will have a deposit and signature status and then I go to charge the card for the balance and it changes the status backwards to deposit only saying it still needs a signature. This become very confusing as we begin asking them for signatures when we already have it. How can we fix this? thanks

This sounds like a change in your "Lead Status" options. I would read through them and make sure there isn't a check box marked that shouldn't. When you say it goes backward do you mean it goes from "contracted" status to confirmed after they make a deposit/sign and then back to contracted status when you charge the balance?

Yes, make sure one of those statuses doesn't have "make to this status after balance has been paid"
