Credit card restrictions

Is there a way to prevent a customer from paying by credit card at the last minute unless they have already paid a deposit on the same credit card at least 21 days prior? (asking because we have been burnt by a last minute payer in the past who's credit card turned out to be stolen so we got a charge back two weeks later. And yes I filed a police report but the cops did nothing despite me giving them the thief's address and contact info).

Unfortunately there is not a way to do this.

not even with some sort of filter or automation?

Asking a developer to see if there is a possible way of doing this.

Per Developer:

This is not possible. We don’t see the credit card numbers. they go directly to the processor so we don’t know what card they used or if it matches another card on file.

So there is no way to keep card on file? Trying to prevent getting ripped off again by a credit card thief since the police don’t do anything g about it.

How is it possible to bill card on file if there are any cleaning fees or damages done to the inflatable?

This is w/a token saved by the processor. But there wouldn't be a way to filter this on the contract page for this to work

How can I tell if Square is saving cards “on file”? Is this a setting that is passed through to Square from the IO side?

You would see this info under the payment section of the lead

Still on the lines of trying to prevent stolen cards from being used…. Is there a way to know if the name on the credit card matches the drivers license we ask the customer to upload?

This is not possible unfortunately.
