I noticed some of my emails have a hazard sign and say the email is inactive. Does it now have to be active for the automation to run?

Developers added safeguards to allow automations to skip emails with inactive templates. It checks for inactive templates both in the UI and APIs. We are showing a yellow triangle if an email is inactive. We are also disabling the Activecheckbox if an email is in active use (it lists which automations using it). The cron just skips inactive templates from now on.

Oh, so I understand, that means I need to activate all of those manual emails for the automation to work? Which will then be in my template list?

Correct if you want the automation to run the email template being used on it must be active in the email center. Automations will no longer go out if it's using an inactive email template.
